Job Responsibilities
- Lead the market entry and development strategy for Chinese-manufactured air compressors.
- Identify new business opportunities market segments and potential partners across Nigeria.
- Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to guide strategic planning.
- Drive sales growth by acquiring key accounts developing downstream customers and establishing a reliable distributor network.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure and after-sales service.
- Define and meet sales targets in line with company objectives.
- Serve as the main point of contact for Chinese manufacturers ensuring smooth communication and alignment on technical specifications pricing and supply chain matters.
- Ensure products meet the local market s regulatory and performance expectations.
- Provide expert consultation on air compressor systems applications and value propositions to clients and partners.
- Lead technical presentations and solution proposals ensuring alignment with clientrequirements.
- Recruit train and support distributors and resellers to ensure consistent brand representation and market penetration.
- Monitor and improve distributor performance.
- Oversee after-sales service including troubleshooting client training and feedback
- collection.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
- Provide periodic business performance reports sales forecasts and customer insights to management.
- Monitor risks and identify mitigation strategies.
- Advise on product positioning pricing strategies and marketing activities based on
- market intelligence.
- Evaluate and recommend new product lines or enhancements based on customer needs and trends.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by the Country Head to support business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial sales or business development preferably in compressors or related machinery.
- Strong technical understanding of air compressors and their industrial applications.
- Experience working with or representing Chinese suppliers is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to launch and scale a business line or product in a new or growing
- market.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
- Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently lead cross-functional coordination and drive results.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
