This part time position is responsible for providing independent nonpartisan professional support to theLegislative Fiscal Division (LFD) and the Legislative Finance Committee (LFC). This position is occasionally called upon to work on special projects due to specific knowledge expertise and skills. The incumbent often works independently under limited time frames. The duties listed below are not inclusive but characteristic of the type and level of work associated with this position.
Committee Support:
Prepares meeting materials for the LFC and Interim Budget Committees and Modernization and Risk Analysis Committee (MARA)including individual packets for committee members MARA and LFD staff. The position may assist Interim Budget Committee staff
Set up committee rooms establishes audiostream connection and ensures all materials. testimony sign in sheets and exhibits are accessible to the public
Transcribes proofreads and edits for grammatical accuracy and understanding all minutes of the LFC MARA and IBC meetings
Verifies that all exhibits and testimony logs are archived alongside meeting minutes and electronically linked
Administrative Support:
Provides administrative support to LFD managers and lead staff as required
Communicates effectively with legislators legislative staff agency personnel and others via phone email and written correspondence
May arrange travel accommodations for LFD staff including vehicle airline or hotel reservations compile and obtain authorization for motor pool use
Prepare and organize materials and facilities for officewide meetings and events; take notes for meetings as needed; organize meeting or event logistics
Perform a range of projects related to committee and executive administrative support functions administrative workflows recordkeeping and organizational communication and productivity
Implement process enhancements using technology and best practices to improve administrative efficiency and support functions.
May purchase supplies for the office and maintain inventory as needed
Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the operations and objectives of the LFD.
High school or GED certificate; three years of progressively responsible work experience.
