We are seeking a detailoriented and safetyconscious Hose Testing Coordinator to manage and execute hose testing operations in compliance with industry standards and company protocols. This role ensures the integrity safety and compliance of hoses used in industrial fire or hydraulic applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling performing documenting and reporting all hose testing activities.
Essential Functions
Plan and coordinate all hose testing operations according to scheduled maintenance and regulatory requirements.
Perform visual inspections pressure testing and documentation on various types of hoses (e.g. fire hoses hydraulic hoses industrial hoses).
Maintain detailed and accurate records of test results repairs and replacements.
Ensure all testing procedures adhere to relevant standards (e.g. NFPA OSHA ISO or customerspecific requirements).
Communicate findings and recommendations to maintenance safety and operations teams.
Manage inventory of hoses testing equipment and supplies.
Coordinate with vendors or thirdparty testers when applicable.
Assist with training staff on hose care handling and testing procedures.
Uphold safety practices and participate in incident investigations related to hose failure or testing.
Experience Education and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications (e.g. NFPA 1962 ASME API) preferred.
Experience in hose testing inspection or related mechanical/industrial roles.
Knowledge of hose types fittings testing equipment and relevant safety standards.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
Physical ability to lift bend and perform testing in a field or shop environment.
Field and shop work; exposure to mechanical hazards and weather elements.
Use of PPE required.
May involve occasional travel to offsite testing locations.
