Position Summary This position is responsible for identifying evaluating and qualifying equipment that is available for sale in the market. Position Responsibilities - Identify surplus grey market equipment that is for sale.
- Work with Marketing to ensure that any available equipment is properly marketed based on whether the equipment has been purchased is on consignment or is available for purchase if opportunities are identified.
- Inspect equipment that is being considered for purchase and inventory the equipment by the manufacturer type and technical specifications of the major equipment assemblies.
- Work with internal points of contact to develop and maintain a system for properly inspecting and evaluating equipment for purchase.
- Develop and maintain an equipment inventory database of all equipment available for sale. This equipment shall include Transformers Gas Turbines Generators and other capital items.
- Work with internal points of contact to develop disassembly removal and logistical plans for equipment that is being considered for purchase.
- Supply Marketing with all of the required information to keep marketing materials current.
Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Business or experience in related field.
- Experience in Logistics/Shipping; and 2 years experience in a supervisory role.
- Flex hours when needed.
- Up to 50% travel is possible.
- Technical competence including understanding Power Generation.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications - Proficient in the use of various MS Office Suite programs.
- Proficient in the use of a variety of general office equipment and skilled at typing at a speed necessary for successful job performance.
- Knowledge of communication principles and practices.
- Knowledge of principles of business letter writing and report preparation.
- Knowledge of correct English usage spelling grammar and punctuation.
- Knowledge of basic business arithmetic.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with the public and co-workers to communicate effectively.
