Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Surgical Services Department at Jewish Hospital consists of the following three areas: Main Hospital; Heart Hospital; and Outpatient Care Center which includes the Hand Care Center. Surgical Services is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to ensure all surgeries including emergencies are completed and the communitys health needs are met. Our service lines include Cardiothoracic Vascular Robotics General Colorectal Urology Transplant Orthopedics Neurosurgery ENT Dental Plastics Hands and Oral Maxillofacial. In total we have 30 operating rooms 2 of which are considered Hybrid rooms equipped to perform endovascular robotic and cardiothoracic surgeries. Our staff take pride in offering excellent care to our patients as well as their families.
The anesthesia supervisor supervises staff of the Anesthesia Department and ancillary staff (PSA/US) to ensure the quality and completion of work assignments. The supervisor also supervises the maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies as well as being knowledgeable of this equipment of the anesthesia department.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelors degree in business or healthcare related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- 4 years of anesthesia technician or related experience.
- Broad knowledge of medical terminology pharmacology and sterilization techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisor experience.
