JOB TITLE: Machinist - 1st Shift
LOCATION: ArchbaldPA
PAY RATE: $29.62/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

First Shift: 5:30 AM 4:00 PM

Days: Monday Thursday (4x10 schedule)

Summary:
-
Set up and operate plain or universal horizontal and vertical milling machines.
-
Perform precise machining operations including compound angles and contours boring compound angular holes helical and spiral milling serrating and gear spline and keyway cutting to tight tolerances.

Selecting mounting and aligning specialized machine attachments and tooling
-
Planning the sequence of operations and determining required cuts setup speeds feeds and depth of cut
-
Interpreting blueprints sketches and engineering specifications
-
Using machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments
-
Performing standard shop computations and layout work
-
Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with control procedures
Requirements:
-
High school diploma required
-
Mechanically inclined
-
Ability to learn to read operation sheets and blueprints
-
Able to differentiate between thread types (coarse fine metric standard)
-
Experience with stock cutting saws
-
Experience operating large Proceco wash stations
-
Skilled in burr bench work
-
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
