Job Description
- The Packaging Team Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to include the packaging operation placing boxes on skids labeling inspection testing and providing the proper paperwork.
- This position requires rotation through all phases of Team Operator in the Packaging department.
- Operate the Form Fill and Seal machine hand-held scanner label maker and tape machine.
- Receive inspect sort and pack product in a timely and efficient manner.
- Visually inspect packing material to ensure appropriate documentation accompanies product.
- Clean and inspect FFS machines during changeover to ensure all product has been removed and accurate packing occurs.
- Perform skid changeover and line clearance activities.
- Verify that all paperwork is complete and accurate including traceability.
- Assist with training of new Operators.
- Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.
- Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment.
- May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals.
- Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open potentially noisy and with moving equipment.
- Recurring physical demands include standing walking stooping crouching climbing bilateral motion involving hands wrists and upper body.
- Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components.
- Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
- Good Verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge/use of computers.
- Adequate fine motor hand coordination required.
- Sound judgment for use in product disposition.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Less than 1 year of experience; manufacturing background preferred.
