Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division for a Millwright to join our millwright crew in the preventative maintenance and repair of our grain storage facilities and equipment. You must have excellent communication skills be detail oriented and be safety conscious about your work.

Responsibilities

  • You will:

  • Assist in backup for general company maintenance and repair and be available for emergency repairs and assistance on larger projects including after business hour needs
  • Assist in diagnosing problems and repair equipment as needed
  • Could have the ability to recognize when to recommend outsourcing projects when necessary
  • Assist with maintaining equipment lists with such information as machinery specifications vendor information drive unit specifications and other pertinent information for all equipment in the grain storage areas. This information will be useful in the future for establishing histories and be invaluable in decision making about maintenance repair and replacement of equipment
  • Assist in reviewing and performing preventative and predictive maintenance of the equipment
  • Assist in the housekeeping duties assigned by his/her supervisor both in the shop and on the job site
  • Assist in the responsibilities for removal of all debris in the shop or when finalizing a jobsite
  • Must be responsible for learning the companies LockOut/TagOut(LOTO)procedures as well asPermit Required Confined Space (PRCS) regulations andmake certain they are followed prior to commencing work on any equipment
  • Must be responsible for immediately reporting all work hazards
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies procedures and regulations. Identify communicateandwork to correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or hazardous workplace conditions
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by lead millwright

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. bend turn twist climb ladders stairs and bins
  • Ability to work in dustyadverse weather conditionsor extremefluctuating temperatures
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Must pass preemployment drug screen
  • Must have a valid drivers license

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with grain handling equipment
  • Knowledge of stick welding
  • Be capable of using millwright tools and have a working knowledge of their use

CHS offers a competitive total compensation package.

Compensation: This includes base wage and may consist of other earnings depending upon position within CHS consisting of bonuses incentives commissions merit pay. This position may be an opportunity for promotion.
