Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Millwright

Industry: Food & Beverages

About the Role:

Our client a leading organization in the food and beverage manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Millwright to join their operations team. This is a hands-on role that involves maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. If you re technically inclined thrive in dynamic environments and have a strong commitment to safety and quality this opportunity is for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems

  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies

  • Complete documentation such as work orders permits and parts requisitions

  • Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment

  • Participate in team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License) Mandatory

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)

  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs climbing ladders kneeling and working in elevated areas (4 ft)

  • Willingness to work overtime weekends holidays and alternate shifts with prior notice

  • Comfortable working in environments with heat cold dust noise etc. using provided PPE

  • Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical machinist welding pipe fitting and fabrication rigging systems gearbox and bearing maintenance lubrication pumps and piping systems

  • Experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) and/or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is an asset
