The opportunity

Are you a compliance leader with a strong background in insurance and energised by the conduct risk space This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape and embed a comprehensive compliance and conduct strategy for QBEs (AUSPAC) region.

This secondline compliance role provides advisory and oversight capabilities across AUSPAC ensuring robust policies controls and processes are in place. It is a Head of Compliance role with a strong focus on conduct risk making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced compliance professional with expertise in insurance.

Your new role

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer AUSPAC you will be a key member of the AUSPAC Compliance Leadership Team responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing an effective compliance and conduct strategy.
  • Providing thought leadership on compliance and conduct risk across Australia Pacific.
  • Partnering with the business to embed a strong control environment solve problems and drive outcomes.
  • Leading a small team of dedicated Compliance professionals fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence.
  • Supporting regulatory change implementation and ongoing uplift in conduct risk management.
  • Maintaining the Obligations Library ensuring the business understands and meets its compliance requirements.
  • Leading the AFSL and ACL annual reviews and managing the Responsible Manager framework.
  • Delivering highquality training programs to enhance awareness of compliance and conduct risks.
  • Supporting Risk Committees in fulfilling their responsibilities.

About you

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader or an exceptional compliance professional looking to step into a Head of Compliance role.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong insurance industry experience (preferred) or a financial services background.
  • Experience in a secondline risk and compliance role within insurance or financial services.
  • Core compliance capabilities including policy development controls oversight and risk assessment.
  • A problemsolving mindset with a track record of partnering with the business to drive fair customer outcomes.
  • Understanding of key conduct risk areas such as claims product governance and complaints.
  • Leadership experience (preferred) or a desire to step into a senior leadership role.
