- Provide technical guidance inresponse to any importation of wild poliovirus or outbreak of circulatingvaccine derived poliovirus in previously polio-free areas.
- Coordinate with GPEI partnersthrough IMST and ORPG for strengthening planning and implementation response tothe outbreaks in accordance with global guidelines.
- Administer and facilitate three-,six-month and end of outbreak assessments of status of outbreaks, effectivenessof response and the likelihood of continuing transmission.
- Plan, prioritize andcoordinate allocation of vaccine supplies, funding, and human resources basedon thorough understanding of risks and poliovirus situation and in closecoordination with HQ, countries and partners.
