Our client who provides logistics solutions requires an experienced Human Resource Coordinator to join their team. Reporting to the HR Manager you will be primarily responsible for supporting the HR Manager in executing HR processes managing industrial relations coordinating recruitment and onboarding facilitating employee development handling union negotiations and ensuring compliance with policies and labour laws to enhance organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Design and implement costeffective learning and development programs to enhance employee skills knowledge and competencies for the overall success of the business.
- Drive organizational change by educating and influencing employees to embrace new initiatives and improvements.
- Assist in developing manpower and succession plans and aligning them with recruitment plans.
- Assist the training coordinator in conducting training programs for new hires and refresher workshops for existing employees.
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure the right talent is hired at the right time and within budget.
- Identify and support employee needs related to performance evaluations training and career growth.
- Handle administrative responsibilities and ensure accurate processing of documentation.
- Provide support in union negotiations and ensure maintenance of relevant documentation.
- Advise employees on HR policies procedures and best practices.
- Recommend strategies to improve HR processes including compensation benefits employee welfare and development programs.
- Identify potential challenges develop preventive measures and implement contingency plans to address key issues.
- Ensure cost efficiency in all HR functions working within budget constraints and striving to optimize company resources.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by encouraging open communication knowledgesharing and crossfunctional teamwork.
- Maintain clear and effective communication through meetings updates and active engagement with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have at least a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management Employment Law or related disciplines.
- A minimum of four 4 years of experience in the same industry.
- Strong background as an HR generalist with handson experience managing union relations Training Benefits and Compensation.
- Must possess strong people management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must possess great communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to take initiative anticipate HR challenges and implement solutions.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite business management and presentation tools.
- Ability to multitask and initiate change.
- Practical experience in the maritime logistics or related industries will be an added advantage.
