Primary skills: 1. Teradata SYSDBA skills required which include: Performance tuning Capacity Management Workload Management (TASM) UAM/IAM must be thorough Teradata architecture and concepts like partitions indexes (PI & SI) skewness statistics gathering and managing different types of stats collection other DBA concepts etc. third party tools management and overview knowledge on Data mover TPT AWTs knowledge on controlm is favorable working knowledge of TD16.* and TD17.* knowledge on Teradata TTU 2. Working with Scrum JIRA confluence code management (DEVOPS) 3. Knowledge on Linux & shell scripting to perform DBA tasks on linux platforms. 4. Knowledge on backend DBA commands 5. knowledge on DBA catalogue tables (query log tables DBQL tables PDCR tables etc). 6. Query bands 7. BAR (Backup and Archival and Restore) 8. Managing outages 9. Concepts of PROD DR and nonprod 10. Managing process and compute via tcores. 11. Taking care of platform production support issues. Secondary skills:1. Cloud knowledge (Teradata Vantage if possible and/or GCP and AWS) 2. knowledge on reporting tools to depict various kinds of platform aspects via reporting. 3. Worked on automation and self services concepts. Mandatory: 1. Good communication skills. 2. Must be able to gather requirements articulate and resolve problems and communicate with stakeholders independently. 3. Individual should be self motivated and self driven. 4. Able to take things to closure independently. 5. Open to learn new concepts and take up additional responsibilities. Experience required is 8 years
