About the Position:

Location Heston London

Technical Sales is the essential link between Customer Sales R&D Factory external partners and other related departments in the whole project phase from order to delivery. Technical Sales manages multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously collaborating with intercontinental crossfunctional teams and B2B customers. At BYD Technical Sales consists of a team in Shenzhen and in Europe and UK.

The Technical Sales Manageris responsible for UK customer requirements clarification and delivery of electric bus projects ensuring adherence to predefined timelines budgets and quality standards.

The Technical Sales Manager is part of the Technical Sales Department and reports to the Director of the Technical Sales department at BYD HQ and with a dotted line to the Managing Director of BYD UK.

As Technical Sales Manager your key responsibilities will be:

    Communication and coordination

    • Responsible for UK customer requirements clarification and delivery of electric bus projects ensure adherence to predefined timelines budgets and quality standards of all UK projects;
    • Manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously collaborating with intercontinental crossfunctional teams and B2B customers;
    • Establish strong relationships with external partners consultants vendors and regulatory authorities;
    • Customer satisfaction surveys and followup;
    • Follow up customer major complaint issues and coordinate the resolutions and track customer satisfaction;
    • Support Sales team in acquiring prospective customers and securing orders;
    • Work closely together with the Director of Technical Sales Team in China to ensure optimal collaboration between the Chinese and UK Technical Sales Teams.

    Quality and improvement of work processes

    • Fully understand BYDs EV products and product development pipelines;
    • Work closely with team members in order to understand the challenges being faced with existing processes grab feedback and optimize these processes;
    • Work closely with other departments to optimize the work processes in a project;
    • Organize platform for information exchange between the team members and facilitate implementation of technical / organizational lessons learned between markets;
    • Keep departmental processes up to date inform HSEQ manager in case changes are needed. Report improvement opportunities in the organization processes and incidents via an improvement note.


    Required skills qualifications and experience

    • 5 years of experience in a Project Management or similar role with proven successful records of managing multiple projects/customers of varying sizes in parallel;
    • Bachelors degree in electrical mechanical or automotive engineering.
    • Solid knowledge of the automotive preferably the eBus market;
    • Experience in crosscultural management client management and conflict management strong sense of responsibility and ownership;
    • Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving;
    • Strong leadership skills and creative thinking;
    • Strong and effective written verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English;
    • Has righttowork in the UK.
