About the role We are currently recruiting for Animator for one of the most dynamic and exciting leisure venues in Doha. West Bay beach, under the management of Discover Qatar, comprises 3 absolute beachfront fully licensed venues. • Doha Sands, an exclusive and private beach club for in house guests staying at participating West Bay hotels • The Bistro; a fully licensed restaurant, opens from 7am until midnight with a capacity of 200, serving light casual meals and also catering for special events, movie and sports event screenings and private groups. • B12 Beach Club, Qatar’s largest private beach club featuring the largest inflatable in the country, a range of international food and beverage outlets, general admission and VIP sections, a resident DJ and popular weekend brunches. You will be responsible to ensures all the processes and standards of Beach and Recreation department are followed and implemented for smooth and safe operations and understands the scope of responsibility and line of reporting. Other key responsibilities are: Operational - Monitors, controls and conducts Recreation equipment inventories. Investigates and reports any discrepancies to Supervisor/ Assistant Outlet Manager. - Ensures all recreational equipment’s and facilities are well maintained, cleaned and safe to operate at all times. Reports any safety issues and hazards to Supervisor/ Assistant Outlet Manager. - Prepares daily, weekly and monthly activities schedules for both kids and adults. - Responsible for creating and communicating plan regarding the current and upcoming activities across venue and other team members. - Assist guest with any information related to the beach areas and facilities. - Motivates guests to participate in different activities by actively moving across the venue and creating a positive vibe. - Creates a personalized experience for the guests by engaging with the customers of different age and understanding their preference. - Displays a positive attitude with a natural approach to ensure that the kids remain engaged throughout the activities. - Responsible for briefing the parents to remain within the vicinity and kept informed in case if any challenges arise. - Ensures that the guest complete the waiver formalities for all the required activities and maintain records. - Delivers highest standards of guest satisfaction by proactively engaging with the guests, seeking their feedback and communicating development ideas to Beach and Recreation Operations Manager. - Encourages customers to share constructive feedback through reviews, surveys and one to one basis. - Proposes new ideas for improvising and organizing new Beach and Recreation activities, activations, events around theme or special events to drive sales. - Must be a confident in public speaking along with the ability to handle large groups and experienced in leading various beach activities in a professional and fun manner. - Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department. Qualifications About You - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent - Experience as an animator or as a sport instructor preferable in a 5-star hotel - Experienced in conducting different sports and team building activities for large groups suitable for beach environment - Ability to work in beach venue conditions (Indoor and Outdoor) - Experienced in working with kids, preparing and conducting activities suitable for different age group. - Ability to motivate and encourage others – Candidate should have Confident, positive, energetic and an approachable charisma. - Excellent experience in people and customer management skills. - Excellent written and verbal English skills – additional language (such as Arabic) is an advantage. - Excellent organizational, strong problem-solving skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a positive attitude. - Work dynamically as an individual and as a team player How to Apply If you are interested to submit your application and feel you are a good fit for this role, please complete our application form and upload your CV for our review and consideration.
