Main Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Commercial Manager for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is entrusted with the critical responsibility of shaping and operationalizing a robust business model for SAF within the Company. This role encompasses a spectrum of duties, including orchestrating SAF deals, managing contracts, overseeing end-to-end operations, navigating certification and qualification processes, and driving SAF and jet fuel business development, procurement, and client relations.
Additionally, this role serves as a pivotal support to the headquarters (HQ), offering insights into supply chain investments, industry trends, and business projections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forge and solidify deal structures, ensuring a resilient supply chain for the Companys SAF trading and supply endeavors.
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive SAF strategy that aligns with the Companys overarching goals.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of SAF deals, ensuring seamless operations and optimized profitability.
- Cultivate and manage networks for SAF procurement and sales, bolstering the Companys position in the SAF market.
- Spearhead the acquisition and maintenance of SAF qualifications and certifications, demonstrating compliance and quality.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and enrichment within the Companys SAF ecosystem.
- Collaborate with the HQ SAF manager in arbitrage trading and the prudent hedging of neat SAF cargos.
- Identify investment prospects within the upstream resources and supply chains, fortifying the Companys foothold in SAF and fossil jet fuel in the European region.
- Provide substantial support to the Management and CAO BD Team in advancing strategic investment initiatives.
- Assume accountability for fossil jet fuel procurement, SAF blending, and the orchestration of blended SAF logistics.
- Serve as a backup for the Aviation Marketing Manager in aviation tenders, showcasing versatility and expertise.

- Demonstrated expertise in SAF procurement and an extensive grasp of end-to-end supply dynamics.
- Hands-on experience in SAF operations, underpinned by a deep understanding of the intricacies involved.
- Profound familiarity with aviation jet fuel supply, evidenced by a proven track record.
- Comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry and its evolving landscape.
- Track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, underscoring a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Prior engagement with sustainability initiatives, underscoring a commitment to environmentally conscious practices.
