Oracle DBA engineer

We are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support and evolve missioncritical database infrastructures in a 24/7 production environment. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technical professional with deep expertise in Oracle architecture performance tuning high availability and automation. You will act as an L3 reference ensuring reliability security and continuity across complex onprem and cloud database ecosystems

Responsibilities:

• Design and evolve database architectures across onprem and cloud environments ensuring high availability performance and resilience;

• Perform advanced L3 administration troubleshoot complex incidents and lead rootcause analysis across SQL storage HA RAC and performance layers;

• Optimize database performance through query tuning indexing strategies capacity monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives;

• Define and maintain backup restore and disaster recovery strategies including regular DR tests and failover procedures;

• Lead major changes such as upgrades migrations and architecture redesigns ensuring safe deployments and proper documentation;

• Participate in 24/7 oncall rotation handling critical incidents and coordinating with crossfunctional technical teams when required;

• Develop automation scripts and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to industrialize provisioning patching monitoring and reporting

• Implement and enforce security policies including encryption auditing data masking and compliance with internal and regulatory standards;

• Produce and maintain technical documentation (HLD/LLD runbooks procedures) and enrich internal knowledge bases.

Qualifications :

• 510 years of experience in database administration within production environments;

• Strong background in database architecture high availability migrations and largescale Oracle projects;

• Experience working in multicustomer or servicecenter environments (MSP/outsourcing) is highly valued;

• Advanced expertise in Oracle Database (RMAN Data Guard RAC ASM OEM Diagnostics/Tuning Packs performance tuning);

• Solid knowledge of HA/DR solutions clustering replication and failover strategies;

• Strong skills in performance analysis query optimization indexing strategies and rootcause troubleshooting;

• Proficiency in backup/restore mechanisms and handling complex recovery scenarios;

• Good understanding of Linux/AIX environments OSlevel troubleshooting virtualization and storage architectures;

• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell Python Bash Ansible) and contribution to CI/CD pipelines;

• Knowledge of security best practices: encryption auditing data masking and compliance frameworks;

• Ability to manage priorities remain calm under pressure and perform effectively in oncall situations;

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional technical teams;

• Organized autonomous customeroriented and comfortable working in demanding SLAdriven environments;

• Fluent English required; French or Dutch are considered a plus.
