SUMMARY:

The Recruiter will be responsible for hands-on, full lifecycle recruiting for all available positions. These positions will cover various field and office roles for commercial plumbing, Building Automation Systems and HVAC construction as well as the commercial service department. The individual will use their networking abilities to find the best talent in the market. Establishing a great working relationship with educational institutions and other employment sourcing agencies will be a big part of this role. The successful candidate will thrive in creating and developing relationships and leveraging them to hire the best talent. This position will report to the HR Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates, ensuring a smooth transition to HR for hiring and onboarding
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify needs and hiring criteria
  • Review and understand technical job requirements
  • Evaluate applicants to verify if position requirements are met
  • Foster relationships with candidates to ensure they have a positive experience
  • Check references
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining the Applicant Tracking System; ensure efficiency of workflow and the accuracy of the data in order to track the recruiting lifecycle in our system
  • Develop and maintain relationships with organizations within the community to promote talent acquisition
  • Partner with the HR team in the Internship Program initiatives, including participating in job fairs and recruiting sessions
  • Develop a growing pool of strong candidates by placing job advertisements, contacting external recruiters, leveraging personal network, using newsgroups and user groups
  • Coach hiring managers and interviewing team to strengthen the abilities of all team members
  • Ensure consistent communication regarding recruiting efforts by providing status updates to the HR team and hiring managers through meetings, email updates and reports
  • Assist in other initiatives in the HR department that may not be related to recruitment as needed
  • SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to take initiative and to work independently and within a team structure
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment, as well as Human Resources
  • Ability to use applications such as MS Office, Adobe, HRIS
  • Experience working with an ATS with a level of detail orientation that maintains strong data integrity and allows for great reporting from the system
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Ability to provide their own transportation to recruiting events and other activities associated with company branding and recruitment.
  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in HR or related business program preferred
    • Accredited certification, i.e. SHRM-CP or PHR, helpful and considered in lieu of college degree.
    • 1-5 years of professional recruiting experience including successful experience recruiting construction talent in consulting, staffing and corporate environments.
    • Criminal background check and drug screening required for hire
