The Supply Planner is responsible for generating and owning the Supply Plan for their assigned scope
(manufacturing plants and/or products) in partnership with their business stakeholders. The individual can
confidently develop a plan that balances supply demand and inventory that meets the business goals for cost
and service. This highly impactful and visible role will communicate and present with stakeholders and
leaders across the organization and will be a key owner in the monthly S&OP process
Principal Job Duties
Partner with the manufacturing teams to create the Supply Plan for the assigned scope
Own the Monthly Supply Planning process in the Monthly S&OP cycle
o Analyze current plan and assess gaps and opportunities
o During the monthly Supply Review align the team on the plan for supply (production inventory
build/burn and key raw material supply changes) at aggregated product and platform levels
o Evaluate analyze make recommendations and drive changes to improve capacity utilization;
participate in meetings regarding asset utilization capital needs staffing etc.
o Communicate changes to supply (production/inventory) to affected stakeholders in S&OP
Procurement Manufacturing and Logistics.
o On an annual basis work with the Manufacturing and Finance teams to generate the Supply
Plan for the AOP process
Work with the Master Planner and Schedulers for your sites/products to ensure that the order package
is aligned with the Supply Plan and drive actions to close the future gap
Facilitate Capacity and Capability analysis reviews as needed
Own and update assigned Master Data in the ERP system
Participate in manufacturing team meetings to provide inputs regarding overall S&OP and Demand
Plan and to learn significant manufacturing changes and needs
Other potential projects/responsibilities
o Participate to systems development and enhancements
o Work with Demand Planners to address issues regarding schedule/capacity challenges
inventory gaps to plan and determining the 18month supply view
o Continuous improvements to the Supply Planning process
