Responsibilities:
- As a Data Engineer you work closely with our customers. You set the stage because you come with the right data at the right time and to the right people. You thus create a strong foundation for our customers to have easy access to work with data and most importantly that they can put action behind data.
- You may spearhead or contribute to workshops gaining a comprehensive understanding of our clients operations and workflows. This knowledge allows you to question the client the business case and the existing infrastructure as well as to devise technical solutions to our clients problems both immediate and longterm.
- The IT landscape is constantly changing and so is your role. You still work with ETL but as everything moves in the cloud your competencies also move to new areas and you love that your role sets you free to improve your skills.
Requirements
- Experience with Snowflake for cloud data warehousing.
- Experience with dbt for data transformation and workflow management.
- Advanced SQL skills and extensive experience in data modelling.
- Strong capability in designing and managing ETL/ELT processes.
- Proficient in version control (Git) and CI/CD practices for data projects.
- Preferably experience with Orchestration tools such as Dagster Airflow or similar.
- Good understanding of Stream and Batch ingest methods and supporting technology.
- Good understanding of differences between dbt Core and Cloud and when to choose what

Minimum academic qualification of a graduate degree, preferably in Computer Science (2:1 and above. A 2:2 can be considered if the candidate has at least 5 years programming experience) At least 3 - 5 years working experience with team lead capabilities Experience in C# / ASP.NET, JavaScript and CSS. Knowledge of javascript and CSS frameworks is a plus (such as Vue, Angular, react, bootstrap, material bootstrap, semantic UI, etc) Demonstrable past work in the .NET environment (websites, windows applications. apps, etc) Any IT programming courses is a plus Location: Abuja Candidate residing in Abuja is a plus
