Role Summary
Youll be joining a team committed to providing bestinclass real estate services to our stakeholders. Were dedicated to nurturing a relationship of trust and confidence with our clients.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all accountrelated financial activities. This includes recording and analyzing financial transactions preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role also involves collaborating with various stakeholders such as property managers investors and external auditors.
Role Description
This is a fulltime role located in Lagos Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining accurate financial records
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile accounts resolve discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and yearly financial statements reports and budgets for the business and its entities
- Monitor cash flow and coordinate with various teams to optimize liquidity
- Ensure proper funding for property operations and capital expenditures
- Conducting financial analysis to support property investment decisions
- Conduct financial analysis including return on investment (ROI) to support decisionmaking.
- Provide insights into financial performance and trends.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with local state and federal tax regulations.
- Prepare and file property tax returns as required
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth audit process
Requirements
- At 5 years experience Accounting experience. Experience in real estate is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA or ICAN is required.
- Experience in real estate accounting budget & cash flow management financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Xero or Sage.
- Proven ability to manage projects meet deadlines and communicate complex financial data to stakeholders and management team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to adapt to a fastpaced and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent organizational analytical and problemsolving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate financial data to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Experience with the Nigerian real estate industry is a plus.
