  • You will respond to and investigate complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) DoD and Navy regulations and installation directives rules and regulations.
  • You will respond to intrusion detection system (IDS) alarms emergency calls complaints and other calls for service while on duty.
  • You will possess authority to apprehend personnel both combative and noncombative members of the public.
  • You will perform a full range of force protection antiterrorism and sentry duties at installations or activities with significant operational assets unrestricted access points large populations onboard and around the installation/activity.
  • You will act as the Incident Commander (IC) for significant and catastrophic events as required.
  • You will gather and disseminate incident intelligence coordinate response assets develop and execute initial course of action.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a preappointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You must meet the qualifications and be certified to carry a firearm. You will need to maintain firearm proficiency.
    This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DDForm2760 Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
  • Successful completion of a preemployment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training obtain and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to complete training obtain and maintain a government credit card for travel and travelrelated purchases.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets gloves coveralls glasses goggles respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
    This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

For GS07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing investigations regarding unusual situations and/or violations of the law; 2) Conducting checkpoints/roadblocks at various locations to reduce criminal activity; 3) Inspecting packages/personal belongings when admitting personnel into controlled areas; and 4) Responding to emergency calls for service while adhering to state and federal laws. You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations. This position requires employee to work under adverse environmental conditions and falls under the respiratory protection program and hearing conservation program. Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
