Overview
Hardware Technical Lead is responsible for development as well as design update, analysis, documentation, modification of components in the Electrical and Electronics area including Hardware Automotive or Software for components like ECUs, LIN components, Sensor etc. A Hardware Technical Lead will be involved in activities like requirement gathering, writing of Technical specifications, Design and design analysis, unit level testing and integration of components in the electrical system, release of component documentation in the PDM system. This role involves working closely with Hardware, Software design team, Testing team for development of a new component or maintenance of an existing modules.
Main Responsibilities include
Hardware:
- HW Design knowledge on both Digital Design, & Analog Design
- Experience in High speed processor, DDR based design
- Perform the design Analysis like WCCA and FMEA and Power Calculations and also perform the impact analysis on engineering changes
- Capability to tests the boards, use the measuring Instruments, do the verifications, Test report preparation, Analysis of test results, SI analysis, Environmental testing (HALT)
- Design Simulation and Design Documentation preparation
- Design Release process
Software:
- Responsible for integrating the SW components on the HW
- Responsible for configuring and tuning the test setup (if needed) to fulfil functional testing requirements
- Review Functional Specification (FS) and/or Cross Functional Specification (XFS).
- Follow the results in the system tests and the component unitary tests.
- Responsible for delivering a configured, integrated and tested component to all stakeholders.
Project responsibilities
- Take ownership of design modules
- Review of design to make sure 1st time right design delivered to customer
- Issue resolution for any technical design aspect
- Work closely with team members with solution oriented mindset
- Report to RM/PM on activity progress
- Escalation management
- Cross function team interactions
- Excellent Oral Communication
- Contribute to organizational activities
Product responsibilities
- Follow the market trends for the component area and participating in defining technology roadmaps and advanced engineering projects.
- Secure that strategies for the component are followed and developed together with the product leader
Qualifications & Experience
- BE in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation
- 8+ years of experience in an automotive domain (OEM/Tier-1's)
