Overview:

The Area Sales Manager plays a crucial role in leading and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth within a specific geographical area. This role is essential in developing and implementing sales strategies fostering strong customer relationships and ensuring the overall success of the sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Oversee and support the daily activities and performance of the sales team
  • Monitor market trends competitive activities and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly
  • Provide coaching training and mentorship to sales representatives
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and set clear goals for the team
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to effectively promote and sell products
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and development within the assigned area
  • Handle escalated customer concerns and issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the management
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of new sales team members
  • Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and sales standards
  • Participate in sales meetings events and conferences as required
  • Manage budgets expenses and resource allocation for the sales team
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the sales team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field
  • Proven experience in sales management or a similar leadership role
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of sales strategies techniques and principles
  • Excellent leadership coaching and teambuilding skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to analyze sales performance data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools
  • Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
  • Ability to travel within the assigned area as needed
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial targets
