We are recruiting for a specification biased Area Sales Manager on behalf of a market leading manufacturer within the electrical sector who have an 80% UK market have consistently grown sales year on year for the last 10 years and are on track to exceed turnover expectations again this year.

With this recruitment are looking to expand their sales team bringing someone in to take over responsibility for the HD WF & S postcode areas in West and South Yorkshire.

On offer is a salary of up to 53000 which is negotiable based on experience a generous bonus scheme based on company results (achievable guide figure is 40000 with the potential to earn more) a Company Car (Hybrid X1 3 Series or C Class) Laptop Tablet iPhone Pension Scheme (company will contribute 7% if you contribute a minimum of 3%) Private Healthcare etc.

As the Specification Sales Manager you will be:

  • Responsible for continued sales growth within the HD WF and S postcodes.
  • Targeting the specification of products on Local Authority Housing Association and other specifier projects. This will include targeting Local Authorities Housing Associations Electrical Contractors Architects New Build Developers and M & E Contractors.
  • Supporting the Distribution Network (Electrical Wholesalers) as the specification specialist ensuring their teams understand the product range their key benefits and are confident in their ability and proactive in promoting all of this to their customer base.
  • Delivering training and CPD presentations to Specifiers.
  • Producing reports on progress within your territory and utilising the CRM system to record visit reports etc.


Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate:

  • Sales experience in a similar industry. If you have technically biased electrical sector experience (Lighting Controls Heating Ventilation Wiring etc.) from either working for a manufacturer or an Electrical Wholesaler this would be an advantage.
  • Experience of developing business with a technically biased product in a specification led environment.
  • Experience of the Social Housing and Local Authority sector.
  • That you have regularly achieved or exceeded set sales targets.
  • Strong territory planning skills.
  • Strong administration skills with experience of Office 365 (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • The ability to communicate with customers at all levels with the ability to identify contacts and gain appointments.
  • That you either live within the HD WF or S postcode areas or within a 30 minute commute of one of these.
