We are seeking to fill the position of Accounting Manager.This is an exempt, full-time position located at our Headquarters in Jacksonville, FL, and reports to the Controller.

The Accounting Manager will support all accounting functions and operations from all day-to-day financial activities, daily cash reports and quarterly cash flow, sales tax compliance and reporting, project accounting and financials, and monthly, quarterly consolidated financial statements of the company. You will also assist with the development and implementation of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Support the day-to-day financial activities, cash reports, and cash flow analysis, all tax compliance,reporting, and related footnotes, project accounting and financials, and monthly, quarterly consolidated financial statements of the company, to include public company filings.

Develop and implement improved internal audit control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed and support and manage automation of key aspects of payables, reporting- related processes, and some ad-hoc reporting.

Implement accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFS standards.

Oversee accounting close processes and reporting.

Evaluate accounting processes and systems and implement optimizations.

Develop and direct accounting professionals and support staff.

Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations.

Manage payment of all accounts payable to ensure on-time payment.

Manage processing accounts receivable and collection of payments.

Maintain cash report, cash flow, and funding balances.

Maintain an organized filing system of all accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank statements, account reconciliations, and stock transactions.

Prepare and organize monthly financial statements for senior management.

Manage the preparation of quarterly/annual financial reports for public company accounting, 10Q-and 10K.

Assist in the management of budgets and forecasts.

Maintain and provide organization of information for audits for external auditors.

Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, sales tax filings, and reporting.

Compliance with all additional legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, project/cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation to include project management software.

Excellent computer skills including accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or other system knowledge.

Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.

Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.

Leadership of finance/accounting team.

Attention to detail.

Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members.

Ability to exercise sound independent discretion and professional judgment.

Able to multi-task in a high-tempo environment.

Communication, collaboration, meeting, and presentation skills.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an emphasis inAccounting, or a related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) desired.

5+ years of experience in field of project/cost accounting.

1-3 years of experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or manager.

High level experience in accounting at a publicly traded company.

Physical Requirements:

Work environment is indoors, in a clean, well-lighted office that is temperature controlled.
