Job Summary:The Associate Producer designs and produces low-complexity multimedia programming under close supervision. Assists other Producers.
Additional Department Summary:Researches writes and approves stories for broadcast and digital platforms. Oversees all elements of the newscast and is responsible for story selection writing and editing before boothing. Crafts and executes the vision for the newscast. Assists with planning and execution of ideas while fostering teamwork and collaboration.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in fine arts broadcast communication telecommunication and film journalism or graphic design; OR associates degree fine arts broadcast communication telecommunication and film journalism or graphic design and two (2) years of broadcast or multimedia writing production and/or direction experience; OR a high school diploma or GED and four (4) years of broadcast or multimedia writing production and/or direction experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a television news operation
