Job Summary
We are seeking an organised and results-driven Dispatch / Distribution / Logistics Manager to oversee and optimise the end-to-end distribution and logistics function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing dispatch operations fleet coordination warehouse distribution route planning stock movement and delivery performance to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong operational planning and people management skills capable of driving efficiencies while maintaining high service standards and compliance across all logistics activities.

Responsibilities:
- Manage daily dispatch distribution and logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Oversee fleet scheduling route planning vehicle utilisation and driver coordination.
- Monitor delivery performance and implement strategies to improve turnaround times and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all dispatch documentation delivery notes and transport records are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse procurement sales and operations teams to ensure smooth product flow.
- Manage third-party transporters and logistics service providers where applicable.
- Monitor fuel usage transport costs maintenance schedules and fleet performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies road regulations health & safety standards and transport legislation.
- Investigate and resolve delivery issues customer complaints and operational bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement logistics KPIs reporting systems and operational controls.
- Supervise train and manage dispatch warehouse and logistics staff.
- Conduct regular stock movement audits and ensure accurate inventory reconciliation during dispatch processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and distribution function.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in dispatch logistics transport or distribution management.
- Proven experience managing fleet operations drivers and distribution teams.
- Experience within FMCG manufacturing retail mining or distribution environments is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and inventory management processes.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics Supply Chain Management Transport Management Business Management or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications would be an added advantage.
