Responsibilities:
- Plan and allocate work schedules for workshop staff in advance.
- Supervise and manage a team of 60 employees in the workshop.
- Conduct regular workshop quality checks to ensure standards are met.
- Maintain continuous communication with superiors regarding progress challenges and updates.
- Oversee equipment maintenance servicing schedules and ensure minimal downtime.
- Implement and enforce health safety and environmental standards in the workshop.
- Monitor productivity efficiency and output levels introducing improvements where necessary.
- Train mentor and develop workshop staff to enhance skills and performance.
- Manage inventory of tools spare parts and consumables ensuring availability and cost control.
- Prepare and present workshop performance reports including KPIs and operational metrics.
- Resolve technical and operational issues promptly to avoid disruptions.
- Coordinate with other departments (procurement logistics sales) to align workshop activities with business needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce costs.
- Foster a positive disciplined and results oriented work culture within the workshop.
