Job Summary
Job Description
- Confirm materials for shipping against pick list
- Package individual products if not already packaged
- Package materials for shipment in appropriate shipping container (including palletized materials) securing the material for transit
- Generate packing slips
- For parcels generate shipping labels using the carriers software (i.e. FedEx UPS software)
- For freight generate Bill of Lading and schedule truck for pickup
- Process export documentation for international shipments
- Load palletized outbound materials onto trucks
- Unload palletized inbound materials off trucks
- Receive package and freight deliveries
- Practice lean manufacturing techniques defined for the shipping department
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Must be able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation (occasionally 60-75 lbs.); Ability to lift bend and twist
Forklift experience and/or certification a plus
