SGA Youth & Family Services is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clerk Typist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth administrative operations within our nonprofit organization. - Provide accurate and timely typing and clerical support to various departments.
- Maintain organized records and assist in managing documentation processes.
- Support the overall administrative functions that enable our programs to run effectively.
- Type format and proofread documents reports correspondence and forms with high attention to detail.
- Maintain and update filing systems both electronic and paper-based ensuring easy retrieval of information.
- Receive and direct incoming calls messages and visitors as needed.
- Assist with data entry and database management to support program tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of internal and external communications.
- Support scheduling and calendar management for team members when required.
- Perform general office duties including photocopying scanning and mail handling.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a clerk typist or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong typing skills with accuracy and speed; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as printers scanners and fax machines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
