Pay: $120000.00 - $170000.00 per year

Job Description

• Represent debtors creditors trustees receivers and assignees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters
• Support state court insolvency actions assignments for the benefit of creditors receiverships and fiduciary matters
• Draft pleadings motions discovery legal memoranda and other litigation documents
• Assist with contested bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts
• Participate in court hearings mediations negotiations and case strategy discussions
• Communicate professionally with clients opposing counsel court personnel and internal team members
• Manage deadlines competing priorities and multiple active matters in a sophisticated legal practice

Qualifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar
• 2 years of relevant bankruptcy restructuring creditors rights insolvency or complex commercial litigation experience
• Strong legal research writing analytical and drafting skills
• Experience with court appearances or contested matters
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently and collaboratively
• New York Bar admission is a plus

  • 4 to 5 years relevant experience: $135k to $155k
