This is an exciting opportunity for a capable professional with strong analytical strategic and customer service skills to support and drive improvements in grants administration including developing and documenting clear procedures and policies to ensure consistency compliance and effective service delivery across the education sector including supporting change and strengthening documentation.
You will be part of a newly established team to support the Departments approach to governance monitoring and advice on grants administration to ensure alignment with best practice and the NSW Governments Grants Administration Guide.
About the role
In this role you will assist with developing and maintaining policies procedures and guidance materials while helping monitor compliance and identify risks or issues. You will work closely with teams across the department to provide advice respond to enquiries and support the consistent application of grants processes. You will also help analyse data and contribute to reporting and insights for senior leaders while supporting continuous improvement activities and building capability across the organisation. The role requires:
- Experience in developing and operationalising grants administration policy and governance in alignment with best practice standards.
- Ability to identify new and innovative approaches and tools and to embed them into the culture and behaviours of the business to enhance controls and to drivecontinuous improvementby updating guidelines controls and resources to reflect new or changed standards and requirements.
- Ability to provide centralised support monitoring and oversight to divisions to facilitate a consistent approach to grants administration across the Department and to support business area compliance with the NSW Grants Administration Guide and other external requirements.
- Expertise in reviewing and analysing grants administration data and reporting providing insights and advice to support compliance and sound decision-making.
- Ability to collaborate to support capability uplift and reform strengthening culture and behaviours and embedding improved tools and approaches.
- Skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment including managing change (process and resource adaptation) to mitigate risk and strengthen grants administration outcomes.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
