About Local Land Services

Local Land Services is an Executive Agency related to the Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development cluster. It provides quality customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. What will my day look like

At North Coast Local Land Services we are committed to maximising the effectiveness of our emergency management obligations to landholders and the community impacted by biosecurity and natural disaster events. We are seeking a high achiever to help us deliver our core obligations in this area and to join our highly respected team that values its employees and their contributions.

As our Emergency Management Coordinator you will be pivotal in the planning and preparation for North Coast Local Land Services response to natural disaster and biosecurity emergencies. You will be part of the North Coast Partnerships Team and will form productive relationships with regional stakeholders and provide advice to landholders to implement effective prevention preparedness response and recovery actions.

What you need to do this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in emergency response management situations
  • Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to plan and make recommendations with respect to preparedness for response to and recovery from biosecurity and natural disaster emergencies impacting land managers
  • Previous experience in managing and undertaking a range of projects and associated activities with a view to achieving outcomes
  • Have a current NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.

You will enjoy developing and maintaining collaborative engagement with stakeholders the community and customers and be adept at functioning in an operating environment of change and where risks and issues require challenging responses.
