Job Summary

Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a one-year visiting position in the Department of Judaic Studies as the Harwood Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Judaic Studies beginning August 2026. The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor depending on qualifications. Appointment is for nine months per year (August - May); the possibility of renewal for a second or third academic year is contingent on teaching performance needs of the program and administrative approval. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate (or terminal degree) in Judaic Studies in a related field or possess significant research and/or teaching experience related to the greater field. We are specifically interested in candidates who have academic backgrounds related to the social sciences business or art. Teaching experience required and the teaching load is 3/3.
