Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the VP of Accounting in managing the monthly quarterly and annual financial close process

• Prepare and/or review journal entries complex account reconciliations and reporting schedules

• Support the Controller in the preparation review and timely issuance of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  

• Manage and orchestrate a tight month-end close calendar ensuring results are fully wrapped up and sent to corporate by the 4th day of the month

• Directly mentor lead and develop the accounting staff of 5

• Oversee and support the Accounts Receivable Manager and their team of 3 A/R Specialists

• Perform critical (CIP) reconciliations and track over/under billing

• Manage contract liabilities and execute precise revenue adjustments

• Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors (Deloitte) coordinating quarterly interim testing supporting schedules and documentation

• Interface effectively with the Contract Management Team to align operational tracking with financial results

• Maintain absolute confidentiality of financial and company information while handling complex internal data sets

Required Experience

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  
  

• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP compliance internal controls and financial reporting standards

• Public Accounting CPA or Private Equity PortCo Experience

• Strong communication skills paired with a deadline-driven and collaborative workflow mindset
