Assistant Manager (Nazareth Inn I & II)

We are currently seeking a full-time Affordable Housing Assistant Manager to join our team specifically focused on working with seniors. Knowledge of HUD policies and procedures governing subsidized elderly housing and recertification including experience working with the elderly nonprofit or the property management experience is a plus. Providence Community Housing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit affordable housing developer and property manager serving the Greater New Orleans area. With almost 20 years of development experience and over 1700 residential units developed to date Providence has taken over the property management functions of Christopher Homes Inc. and is proud to add their 60 year history of excellence to our team managing over 2400 senior affordable apartments. We focus on the production and preservation of affordable housing and empowering strong communities.

A typical day in the life of an Affordable Housing Assistant Manager working with seniors provides a wide variety of administrative support and backup to the assigned Manager and property including the daily management and coordination of all aspects of the assigned apartment communitys day to day operations including rent collection and apartment leasing maintaining files for corporate and governmental compliance inspections and recertifications.

Essential duties include but not limited to coordinating efforts between Property Management Resident Services and Ancillary Services to support residents; Ensures consistency with residents on all matters in accordance with Fair Housing Laws; Required to submit monthly reports to management. • Is organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is comfortable using computers and property management software
• Is reliable adaptable and ready to handle occasional on-call responsibilities
• Has prior experience in property management or a related field (preferred but not required)

This is a full-time position typically Monday through Friday with occasional on-call responsibilities for emergencies. While most of your workday will be during regular business hours there may be times when youll need to respond to urgent situations outside of these hours to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. Flexibility and responsiveness are key to this role.
