Job Summary
The Student Development Specialist III for the Follett Student Leadership Center will assist in the management supervision and day-to-day operation of Freshman Leaders on Campus support Leadership Center workshop initiatives and participant in ongoing campus-wide leadership development programming. The Follett Student Leadership Center provides various leadership education and development programs to a dynamic campus community

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise and advise Freshman Leaders on Campus the premiere leadership program for first year students on campus. This includes supervision of 2 (19 hour per week) student employees advising the student executive board. This also includes planning and managing all program curriculum 4-6 signature events per year weekly meetings and maintaining an $10000 budget. Present leadership workshops for student organizations groups and departments throughout the year. Support with administration of our T.E.A.M. online certification. Assist in the implementation of current and new leadership development programs focused on the student body at-large. Serve as a departmental liaison to other departments on campus to consult and incorporate leadership education into existing work on campus. Represent the Leadership Center on various campus and community projects and committees. Assist in the day-to day operations of the Leadership Center and participate in large departmental events such as the Fall Leadership Retreat signature leadership programs and Leadership Recognition Ceremony. Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Experience planning implementing and evaluating student programs. Experience with event management and event production. Licenses: Class C Operators Drivers License. Applicant selected must provide a current three-year Driving Record from the current state of residence.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in higher education student personnel or a related field. Demonstrated knowledge of leadership theory leadership education programming budget planning program management and student advising techniques. Effective organizational skills including ability to plan for future events and to execute in a timely manner. Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time

Work Schedule
Monday Friday 8:00 am to 5:00pm. With the opportunity to work remotely one day per week
