Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Remote Mobile Service Technician to deliver high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services directly to customers at their homes workplaces or designated locations. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing service representing Fords commitment to convenience innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and light repair services on Ford and competitive make vehicles (e.g. oil changes tire rotations battery replacements recalls and software updates) at customer locations
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using mobile diagnostic tools
- Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle condition recommended services and timelines
- Manage daily schedule travel routes and service appointments efficiently
- Maintain and organize a fully equipped mobile service vehicle
- Accurately document services performed parts used and customer interactions via digital systems
- Follow all safety protocols and company standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (ASE certification preferred)
- 2 years of automotive technician experience (Ford experience a plus)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable using tablets mobile apps and diagnostic software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with mobile or field service operations
- Familiarity with Ford systems tools and service procedures
- EV (Electric Vehicle) maintenance knowledge is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Frequent standing bending and kneeling
