Our opportunity:
We are looking for a new Business Development Manager to join Maersks Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing expanding and retaining our portfolio of Chinese clients in Brazil serving as a key commercial contact.
Serve as the direct point of contact with the office and coordinate the execution of global business initiatives.
Develop client-specific growth plans with short- medium- and long-term perspectives engaging international stakeholders as needed to expand the accounts reach.
Translate the needs behaviors and cultural expectations of Chinese clients ensuring effective internal communication aligned with Chinese business practices.
Monitor commercial and operational performance metrics assess competitor positioning and identify relevant trends in the Chinese market in Brazil.
Manage the customer portfolio by handling complaints identifying opportunities within the logistics chain and aligning actions with strategic planning with a focus on customer loyalty expansion and service quality
Monitor shipment performance through internal reports evaluating deviations and proposing actions aligned with corporate strategy to maintain the portfolio and maximize profitability.
Represent the interests of the product area through effective negotiations with clients ensuring the fulfillment of organizational goals.
Conduct visits and calls to clients according to established goals and record information in the CRM within defined deadlines contributing to individual departmental and organizational results.
Develop in-depth knowledge of clients businesses and engage in consultative sales proposing customized logistics solutions. Responsibilities may include managing accounts and opportunities at the regional and global levels.
Develop assertive proposals to close deals for value-added services anticipating demand and adding value to all Maersk products.
Create development plans for each client with short- medium- and long-term perspectives involving international colleagues whenever necessary to expand the accounts reach.
What we are looking for:
Education: Completed degree in Administration Foreign Trade EngineeringInternational Relations or similar ;
Languages: Must to have: Fluent Mandarin and English. Desirable Portuguese
Experience: Solid sales experience with a focus on active client portfolio management; Knowledge of import and export operations including ocean freight (FCL/LCL) and air freight; Knowledge of warehousing and distribution processes trucking customs clearance and integrated supply chain solutions;
Experience and proficiency in Excel and BI tools;
Soft skills: business oriented; team player; managing complex situations and excellent verbal and written communication.
