Job Summary

Lead and manage daily mining production activities across multiple sites in Central Africa.
Develop and execute production plans to meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
Ensure strict adherence to health safety and environmental (HSE) standards across all operations.
Monitor and optimize equipment utilization labor productivity and operational costs.
Collaborate with engineering planning and maintenance teams to improve process efficiency and reduce downtime.
Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions to enhance output and quality.
Manage budgets forecast production costs and deliver financial performance against KPIs.
Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and operations staff fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Liaise with local authorities government agencies and community stakeholders to maintain operational licenses and social license to operate.
Implement digital and data-driven tools for real-time monitoring and decision-making in mining operations.

Requirements

achelors degree in Mining Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
25 years of progressive experience in mining production management preferably in Central Africa or similar regions.
Proven track record in managing large-scale mining operations with demonstrated success in meeting production targets.
In-depth knowledge of mining processes including drilling blasting loading hauling and processing.
Strong understanding of HSE regulations environmental compliance and sustainable mining practices.
Proficiency in production planning software ERP systems and data analytics tools.
Excellent leadership communication and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage multicultural teams.
Willingness to work in remote challenging environments with limited infrastructure.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel frequently across operational sites.
Experience with community engagement and stakeholder management in resource-rich developing regions.
