Job Summary

Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts providing strategic insights to senior leadership.
Oversee the end-to-end financial close process ensuring accuracy timeliness and adherence to internal controls.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations customs duties royalty payments and reporting obligations in Central African jurisdictions.
Manage relationships with external auditors tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls and risk mitigation strategies.
Provide financial analysis and performance reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with corporate finance and treasury teams on cash flow management funding strategies and capital allocation.
Support due diligence and financial assessments for potential acquisitions expansions or joint ventures.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; CPA CA ACCA or CFA designation preferred.
25 years of progressive experience in financial management preferably within the mining natural resources or extractive industries.
Proven experience in financial reporting budgeting forecasting and internal controls in complex multi-country environments.
Strong knowledge of IFRS local tax laws and regulatory frameworks in Central Africa (e.g. DRC Gabon Congo).
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations in high-risk remote and resource-constrained environments.
Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and thrive under pressure.
