Job Summary

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts providing strategic insights to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the end-to-end financial close process ensuring accuracy timeliness and adherence to internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations customs duties royalty payments and reporting obligations in Central African jurisdictions.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide financial analysis and performance reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with corporate finance and treasury teams on cash flow management funding strategies and capital allocation.
  • Support due diligence and financial assessments for potential acquisitions expansions or joint ventures.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; CPA CA ACCA or CFA designation preferred.
  • 25 years of progressive experience in financial management preferably within the mining natural resources or extractive industries.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting budgeting forecasting and internal controls in complex multi-country environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS local tax laws and regulatory frameworks in Central Africa (e.g. DRC Gabon Congo).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations in high-risk remote and resource-constrained environments.
  • Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and thrive under pressure.
