- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger and financial records in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes including vendor payments invoice processing and customer collections.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements intercompany accounts and other key financial accounts on a regular basis.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation explanations and audit-ready financial records.
- Assist in budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to support financial planning and business performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
- Implement and improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support operational decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA ACCA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- 25 years of progressive experience in general accounting preferably within a multinational or technology-driven organization.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables VLOOKUP macros).
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards in Central Africa.
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting month-end close and audit preparation.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced evolving environment.
