- Develop and maintain accurate and scalable costing models for products and services across Central Africa operations.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis including direct and indirect cost allocations overhead absorption and variance analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product Supply Chain Sales and Operations) to provide cost insights that inform pricing strategies and product lifecycle decisions.
- Lead monthly and quarterly cost reporting margin analysis and financial forecasting to support executive decision-making.
- Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives to improve gross margins and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls audit requirements and regulatory standards.
- Monitor market trends input cost fluctuations and supply chain dynamics to proactively adjust costing models.
- Train and mentor junior finance team members on costing methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to align costing frameworks and reporting standards.
Requirements
- achelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; CPA CMA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 25 years of progressive experience in cost accounting financial planning or management accounting within a technology or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in developing and managing complex costing systems (e.g. activity-based costing standard costing).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and financial modeling tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Experience working in emerging markets or cross-border operations in Africa is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
