Job Summary

Lead the strategic development and execution of ore dressing processes across multiple Central African mining operations.
Optimize comminution classification and separation circuits to maximize mineral recovery and reduce operational costs.
Supervise and mentor a team of process engineers technicians and operations managers to ensure high performance and compliance.
Implement advanced process control systems data analytics and digital twin technologies to monitor and improve process efficiency.
Conduct regular process audits performance reviews and root cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with R&D geology and metallurgy teams to adapt processing strategies based on ore variability and grade changes.
Ensure strict adherence to health safety environmental and regulatory standards across all operations.
Develop and manage capital and operational budgets for process improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
Represent the organization in industry forums technical conferences and stakeholder engagements related to mineral processing.
Drive continuous improvement culture through innovation pilot testing and adoption of best-in-class practices.

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering Mineral Processing Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
25 years of progressive experience in ore dressing and mineral processing with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proven track record in managing complex processing circuits including crushing grinding flotation gravity separation and thickening.
Strong knowledge of process simulation software (e.g. HYSYS JKMPC ModSim) and data analytics tools.
Experience working in mining operations in Sub-Saharan Africa with familiarity with regional regulatory and operational challenges.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams manage budgets and deliver projects on time and within scope.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
Willingness to travel frequently across Central African sites and work in remote challenging environments.
