Graham is actively recruiting for a Finance Student for Corporate Services Division. Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager Finance Student is responsible for providing accounting and transactional support for Graham Income Trust (the Company) and its subsidiaries. The incumbent is accountable for maintaining project accounting processes in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure clear accurate consistent and relevant project financial information on a timely basis

Your Role in Building What Matters From Office to Site

  • Financial Accounting & Reconciliations: Analyze accounts prepare journal entries complete reconciliations and manage less complex open item accounts.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare financial statements reports analyses and basic memos/presentations to support decision making.
  • Transactional & Month End Support: Execute accurate transactional processing (data entry batch processing) support month end/quarter end activities and maintain required documentation and backups.
  • Controls Compliance & Audit Support: Adhere to accounting standards internal controls governance frameworks and support audit deliverables (internal external and client).
  • Planning Budgeting & Process Improvement: Assist with budgeting and forecasting maintain calendars and deadlines support tools/process improvements and identify/communicate process gaps.

The Right Tools for the Job

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a certificate diploma or degree in Finance
  • Experience: Knowledge and understanding of Finance; knowledge of the construction engineering or heavy manufacturing industry is an asset.
  • Software: Working knowledge of MS Office
