The Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (ADJC) is seeking a Psychology Associate Supervisor MentalHealth Therapist Supervisor (Psychology Associate Supervisor) who is committed to making a difference inthe lives of Arizonas youth. This position will work under the direction and leadership of the Clinical Directorof Psychological Services will manage treatment program delivery oversee the operations of therapeutic crisisinterventions such as the Temporary Stabilization Units and Suicide Prevention coordinate multi-disciplinaryprogram planning teams oversee the Intake Reception Assessment and Classification (RAC) and Treatmentplanning develop programs and monitor progress and training. The Mental Health Therapist Supervisor maysupervise clinical staff working within a program they oversee. | Job Duties: |
Train coach and provide clinical supervision to Psychology Associates and Interns
Oversee and manage treatment program development delivery and monitor progress
Evaluate and diagnose juveniles make treatment plans and recommendations monitor case plans andtreatment recommendations and youths progress make recommendations on youth progress
Oversee and conduct clinical intake reception assessment and classification process
Create and maintain standards of work for clinical services processes
Completes administrative duties as assigned and effectively communicate results to all appropriatepersonnel
Oversee the operations of therapeutic crisis intervention such as Temporary Stabilization Units SuicidePrevention PREA Crisis Intervention Team Clam rooms and therapeutic tools
Coordinates services for youth using multi-disciplinary program teams
Train Clinical and Non-Clinical staff on mental illness crisis intervention DBT CBT ART MI 7-Challenges and other therapeutic interventions
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge in:
Federal and State laws pertaining to the supervision and treatment of assigned youth
Legal parameters regarding the use of separation juvenile correctional setting
Effective juvenile practices and behavior modification techniques for use with incarcerated youth
ADJC behavioral management system and practices
Trauma Informed Care
Developmental disorders and sensory impairments
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorders conduct disorders and substance use disorders
Skill in:
Written and verbal communication
Time management and multi-tasking
Establish and maintain work relationships across disciplines
Computer software to include but not limited to Google Suites
Clinical report writing
Teaching and supervising
Conducting interviews and assessing the needs of youth
Assess learning disabilities
Assessment of youth from ethnic and racial backgrounds
Use of statistical and measurement concepts and instruments
Ability to:
Learn and apply Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections policies and procedures
Collaborate effectively with ADJC personnel other government employees and stakeholders
Prepare reports analyze data and deploy comprehensive plans
Manage Multi-Disciplinary Teams
Work in a correctional environment

| Pre-Employment Requirements: |
REQUIRED: Must possess a valid and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the
Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE). Must be listed as a Clinical Supervisor throughAZBBHE or be eligible for designation as a supervisor at the time of hire.
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a comprehensive background investigation drug screening and physical examination.
Current State of Arizona employees: In order to be considered for this position it requires acceptable performance history as demonstrated by not have been issued a letter of suspension or have been involuntarily demoted within one year preceding this job posting close date and have an overall rating of meets expectations or higher on the most recent employee performance evaluation.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function on the job then the following
requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a
current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all
necessary drivers license records checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked or
suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain
acceptable driving records and must complete all driver training. An employee who operates a personally
owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona
Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.010).
