We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support patient care in a home health setting. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist the PTA will assist in delivering therapeutic services aimed at improving mobility function and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises mobility training and functional activities
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient visits
- Communicate effectively with supervising therapists and healthcare team members
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
- Travel to patient homes within assigned service areas
- Coverage within designated service areas; travel outside assigned areas may be required
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required based on patient needs
- Weekly productivity target equivalent to approximately 30 points per week
- Point-based system used to determine workload and corresponding hours
- Routine visits are assigned point values that translate into approved working hours
- Flexibility required to meet caseload demands including travel outside assigned areas
- Work is tracked using a per-visit point-based system that converts to approved hours
- Includes patient visits travel time documentation and care coordination activities
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience required; home health experience preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Valid drivers license auto insurance and reliable transportation
- Strong communication organizational and patient care skills
- Current TB screening (annual)
- Immunizations: MMR Varicella Hepatitis B Tdap (within 10 years) and annual Influenza vaccine
- Pre-employment drug screening and physical exam required
- Must be willing to treat a variety of patient conditions including infectious cases as appropriate
- Flexibility to accommodate scheduling and caseload fluctuations is essential
