Physical Therapist Assistant-Oakland

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support patient care in a home health setting. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist the PTA will assist in delivering therapeutic services aimed at improving mobility function and overall quality of life.

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic exercises mobility training and functional activities
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient visits
• Communicate effectively with supervising therapists and healthcare team members
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
• Travel to patient homes within assigned service areas

• Coverage within designated service areas; travel outside assigned areas may be required
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required based on patient needs

• Weekly productivity target equivalent to approximately 30 points per week
• Point-based system used to determine workload and corresponding hours
• Routine visits are assigned point values that translate into approved working hours
• Flexibility required to meet caseload demands including travel outside assigned areas

• Work is tracked using a per-visit point-based system that converts to approved hours
• Includes patient visits travel time documentation and care coordination activities

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license (state-specific)
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience required; home health experience preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Valid drivers license auto insurance and reliable transportation
• Strong communication organizational and patient care skills

• Current TB screening (annual)
• Immunizations: MMR Varicella Hepatitis B Tdap (within 10 years) and annual Influenza vaccine
• Pre-employment drug screening and physical exam required

• Must be willing to treat a variety of patient conditions including infectious cases as appropriate
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling and caseload fluctuations is essential
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to assignment confirmation
