Job Summary
Our client is looking for an Assistant Plates Maker to support the prepress and plate making department by converting client provided artwork into accurate print ready files and producing high quality plates for printing presses.

Responsibilities:
- Convert artwork and design files into print ready formats according to production specifications.
- Produce high quality plates for printing presses ensuring accuracy consistency and structural integrity.
- Check artwork for layout issues colour accuracy resolution and formatting errors before plate production.
- Operate plate making equipment and maintain proper calibration and cleanliness.
- Work closely with the prepress and production teams to meet strict deadlines.
- Identify and correct minor errors in artwork or plate output.
- Maintain organised records of plates materials and production files.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure proper handling of chemicals equipment and materials.
Key Skills:
- 1 3 years experience in a prepress printing or plate making environment.
- Familiarity with design and prepress software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator Photoshop CorelDRAW) is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of colour layout and print specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design Print Technology
