Job Summary:
The Digital Health and Data Analytics Assistant supports data collection quality assurance and data transmission processes to generate reliable insights for the organization. He/she serves as a key operational link between site-level data systems and the central database.
The role requires close collaboration with SI&E staff to ensure data quality accuracy and compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Entry:
- Assist in gathering data from various sources including databases surveys and external sources.
- Support accurate data entry ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Support the maintenance of databases and data systems.
Data Transmission and System Synchronization:
- Support the timely transfer of data from health facilities to the central database.
- Verify the completeness accuracy and quality of incoming data before use.
- Assist sites with basic transmission/synchronisation issues (e.g. incomplete uploads)
Data Cleaning and Preparation:
- Clean raw datasets (missing values duplicates inconsistencies etc).
- Prepare and transform datasets in order to support analysis.
- Support and monitor the regular use of data quality tools by M&E teams.
Basic Data Analysis:
- Provide support for internal data validation processes.
- Prepare tables charts and basic visualisations.
- Support dashboard updates using Excel Power BI or Tableau.
Support Data Projects:
- Provide support to Digital Health and Data Analytics Officer in various data-driven projects.
- Help gather requirements from stakeholders to understand their data needs and assist in providing the necessary analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions and improvements.
